Running away from…

reality to create the contents of my heart has been my existence for years .

At a young age stealing my fathers camera with my two older sisters and my little brother would be the beginning of my film making life. In these films we would create a world that came from the contents of our heart the board room of imagination. Inspiration from blockbusters movies, down to networks like Mtv, Nickelodeon programs like Sponge-bob, All That and Cartoon Network. We were always inspired to CREATE. Short films, dramas, music videos and family bloopers.  

This is how we bonded as children. You can call us backyard kids. The backyard was a sandbox to a world of imagination limitless possibilities. A place where you didn't have to be yourself. FREEDOM. It was this special experience which gave life meaning. The expression of things placed in the heart. A world of beauty that no one could see but yourself. Possibilities that stretched beyond today. This was a place of limitless potential. 

The older i became i finally started to realize how life attempts to draw us away from imagination and into the confinements of reality. I’ve dedicated my entire life to bridge this GAP. Photography has allowed me to bridge that GAP! Not only for myself but for the amazing people i get to work with. These people also dream. These people also have an idea within their world. Each person i have the opportunity to help allows us to dive in and pull out their vision of change. A place closer to that ideal world. My service to the world is to help each individual realize that grand vision hidden within. 

It can come to life, it can be a reality, it isn’t far off, you just need someone to believe in it as much as you do. Galleries by Jaja was created for the sole purpose of bringing vision. Your reality to life.
